The IDC13-LNCA amplifier is designed to be used as a pre-amplifier stage inside a cryostat, in particular of the ion trap installed in the Department of Atomic and Nuclear Physics of the University of Granada.
By using transistors from GaAs FETs, the LNCA can operate in cryogenic environments of up 4.2K (liquid helium) and magnetic fields up 7T. The gain is approximately 55V/V with a supply of 2.5V at a temperature of 11K, covering a frequency range from 50 KHz to 10 MHz. The LNCA presents a high input resistance.
